Refine Your Body Reduce Lines & Wrinkles
TRI-Polar/ Bi-Polar Focused Alternating Depth RF Technology
  • Skin Tightening
  • Slimming & Shaping
  • Cellulite Reduction
  • Circumference Reduction
  • Collagen Remodeling

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your body or the fines lines and wrinkles on your face, we have a comfortable, non-invasive solution for you to consider. TRIO RF system can help reduce the appearance of bulges and lines, and the signs of aging—painlessly, in as little as 30 minutes.

The Method

The Trio RF system is a radio-frequency medical technology that, when applied to the skin, therapeutically delivers a very controlled deep heating at the desired tissue depth to tighten the supporting structures on your face and body. The unique RF technology comfortably penetrates the tissues deep down into the dermal layers where collagen fibers exist. When collagen fibers are heated to the proper temperature, the fibers and connective tissues contract and multiply, which firms and improves your body shape and appearance of your skin. Localized blood circulation improves, and retained fluids drain to help minimize edema and erythema, improving contour.

Comfort & Safety

The procedure is virtually painless since it involves no surgery or ablative laser. The TRIO RF system is risk-free when used under physician supervision. Most patients describe the treatment as a comfortable warming sensation on the skin. The operator will slowly heat the surface of the skin to the proper temperature and will continually monitor the skin surface temperature to ensure both comfort and efficacy.

Epidermal Cooling

The TRIO RF system uses a contact-cooling handpiece that increases the cooling effect for the face. This makes the sensitive facial treatments much more comfortable and effective.

TRIO RF Technology

TRIO RF technology is the most advanced for this type of procedure. TRIO RF energy is much more controlled than older modes of RF energy, which use higher, less-controlled energy. More control means less discomfort and more effective results.

All Skin Types

The TRIO RF system is safe and effective for all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Q & A

What is Radio-Frequency Technology?

Radio-frequency, or RF, is the term for energy that is comprised of a very large portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Radio-frequency energy is a stream of photons that are moving at the speed of light. RF is considered low frequency and the result, when introduced into the skin, produces a very controlled deep-heating thermal effect.

What to Expect

During your first visit, you will probably be asked to fill out a medical history form. The experts in our facility will discuss with you a treatment plan, expected outcomes and the extremely rare, but possible, complications so that you can make a proper, informed decision.

How long is the program?

The program time depends on the desired outcome by the patient, and the necessary length of the program will vary from person to person. Most procedures involve 4- 6 treatments. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes.

Is the treatment uncomfortable?

The TRIO RF system that we use in this office employs a unique RF technology that will direct comfortable therapeutic heat to the deep layers of the skin in a very controlled, warming fashion. Other RF technologies have been described as very hot and uncomfortable.

When will I see results?

You should see measurable results immediately following each treatment. Since collagen will continue to rebuild, and the volume of the collagen fibers will also increase, results will continue to improve for 10 weeks post treatments. Each treatment result is cumulative and long-lasting.

I found the treatment to be very comfortable and relaxing. I was amazed to see the wrinkles on the skin of my stomach virtually disappear during the treatment.
– A”. McGannon

I couldn’t believe how, in just one treatment, my love handles felt so much smaller and my stomach felt flatter. I can’t wait to see the results from my next treatment!
– L”. Olson

I am very happy with the results from my procedures. The crow’s feet around my eyes are almost gone and the overall texture of my face has significantly improved.

Radio Frequency Principles

The controlled use of RF produces a highly efficient thermal effect on tissue called for selective electrothermolysis.

The RF thermal response depends on the electrical properties (conductivity or resistance) of the tissue for desired selective thermal stimulation, destruction or coagulation of targeted tissue structures.

Skin Tightening: The Process

First process of skin tightening

  • Both immediate de-naturation of collagen fibers (due to contraction and shrinkage)
    • De-naturation describes the major change to the tissues’ protein structures when subjected to stressors (such
as heat produced by RF conduction)
  • Subsequent long term remodeling
  • Formation of collagen by cross-linking - New collagen production
  • Collagen fibers are heated with RF energy
    • some of the cross-links are broken
    • causing the triple helix structure to unwind
  • Heat is carefully maintained (i.e., 60-62 C)
    • the collagen cross-links are broken but not destroyed
    • This results in collagen shrinkage and thickening while maintaining the integrity of the tissue
  • The safe temperature range to shrink collagen fibers without destroying them is narrow (60 –62C)
  • When the collagen molecule is subjected to temperatures between 60 -62C, the collagen cross-links rupture and cause the immediate contraction of the fibers to about 1/3 their original length
  • The molecules, however, remain intact—provided that temperatures do not exceed 75 C

Second process of skin tightening

  • Collagen remodeling, (10-12 ) weeks
    • Thermal damage in the dermis induces an inflammatory response leading to the release of extra-cellular precursors that stimulate fibroblast activity and remodeling of dermal collagen.
  • New collagen is rebuild in the areas where it was lost due to the aging process
  • Gradual proliferation of fibroblasts leading to new collagen deposits in the collagen depleted areas.
    • Reduction of tissue laxity
    • Improved elasticity
    • Reduction of lines and wrinkles.
